“How can I prepare my hair for my colouring appointment?” – Cindy
The key to getting the colour that you want is to have good communication with your stylist! Come with pictures and be descriptive when you are asking for what you want in terms of colour, style and cut. To prepare your hair for your colouring appointment:
- Be sure to wash your hair a week before your hair appointment with a clarifying shampoo – this provides your hair with shine and strip away any product build up your hair might have.
- 2-3 days before your appointment treat your hair with a deep conditioning pack or book a deep conditioning treatment 3 days before your colouring appointment. Some of the recommended treatments we love are Kaaral Purify Restructure Intense Repair Treatment vial. Moisturized hair holds pigment better than dry thirsty hair…
- Style your hair the way you usually do before your hair appointment – this will give your stylist an idea of how you usually wear your hair.
- If you have a dry scalp – do not shampoo your hair the day of your colouring appointment, a regular shampoo plus the effects of salon processing might contribute to the dryness. (realsimple.com)
